Hello World
Well, hello world.
I didn’t really ever think I’d be the type of person to ever write things on a blog, but here we are. Have no expectations whatsoever. You’ve been warned.
I may occasionally post things that I find interesting, or this blog may remain indefinitely empty - we will see.
I currently work (volunteer!) on MV Doulos Hope, managing IT for ~100 volunteers. I can’t really say I’m an expert in any particular IT field, but this isn’t so bad since I have to do just about anything - including, not limited to:
- Linux/Windows server admin on VMware (yuck!)
- Network management
- Hardware repair stuff
- Data cabling work (sea air doesn’t help our infrastructure)
- AV
- Satellite internet admin (VSAT)
As for this site, it’s made with Hugo. I’m still getting things tweaked and ironed out, but it works quite nicely. It’s all hosted on a little Nanode 1GB VPS from Linode I’ve had for almost a decade(!) but haven’t really utilised too much. It’s running caddy which I’ve come to really like after web-server-hopping for a long time.
